The Manitoba Curling Hall Of Fame came out with their top 150 most notable teams from the province in its history.

They did this as a celebration of Manitoba's 150th anniversary but have now narrowed it down to the top 25. President Peter Nicholls says they are now looking for your help to rank the final 25 teams.

"We will come up with what we call the 'People’s Choice' winner before the end of the year," explains Nicholls. "Our plan is to then assemble a number of curlers and media people to look at that list of 25 and try to come up with our ranking and see that how that compares to what people have done in the voting online."

The voting will be available until December 3rd. Nicholls says they will be asking for a donation for those looking to cast their vote. The donation will go back to the Manitoba Curling Hall Of Fame as they are looking at this like a fundraiser as well as something fun for curling fans.

Nicholls talks about how they plan to decide the winner of the voting.

"The idea is, on December 3rd, the team that has the most money put toward their name would be the most notable and win the ‘People’s Choice Award’."

Nicholls says there's a reason they didn't call it the "best" 25 teams.

"That's the fun of this, everyone has their opinion," says Nicholls. "We intentionally didn't call it the 'best' team, we decided to go with the 'most notable' team because we've had all sorts of champions in Manitoba over the years."
