A massive bale fire has yet to be fully extinguished near Osterwick, though officials have determined the blaze does not appear to be suspicious.

On October 15 at approximately 9:35 am, Pembina Valley RCMP responded to a structure fire on Road 24 W, in the RM of Stanley.

Two large hay shacks had caught fire and were burning. Along with RCMP, fire departments from multiple municipalities attended the scene.

At this time it is believed that approximately 15,000 hay bales will be destroyed, resulting in a significant financial loss.

There were no injuries were reported.

Pembina Valley RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, continue to investigate.
