Pembina Valley Auto Service was one of the businesses hit

It was not a festive Canada Day for a number of Winkler businesses after a series of break ins occurred during the overnight hours of June 30th. Winkler Police Service is investigating four break ins, all of them within close proximity to each other on Cargill Road.

Inspector Brad Kehler identifies the businesses as Wahl's Auto, Pembina Valley Auto Service, ST Granite and Marble, and VS Supply Incorporated.

In each case entry was forced to gain access to the buildings, with small amounts of cash and electronics stolen. One of the buildings sustained further damage by way of graffiti. Kehler says they sometimes see break ins come in bunches, but it's not common to have four in one night.

S T Granite and Marble was one of the four businesses broken into. It's on the left hand side with the red roof.

The crimes are still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Winkler Police Service at 325-9990 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
