And a huge Thank you to the dozens of farm families, and hundreds of people who stopped by our first ever Farmer Appreciation Lunch Drive Thru Tuesday at Plum Coulee Bergthaler Church.

We served over 400 bagged lunches, and had a wonderful time connecting with you through your car, truck and van windows as we celebrated and recognized the hard work the Pembina Valley’s farm families have put in, and will continue to put in this season.

Be listening Thursday for the announcement of the grand prize winner of the Meridian GrainMax hopper bottom bin valued at nearly $30,000!

It’s been a challenging year on a lot of fronts, and from an ag perspective, it was a late start to seeding season, that’s been followed by either enough rain or way too much in many parts of the region. But like every year, Southern Manitoba’s farmers do what needs to be done to get the crop in, care for their animals and ensure we all have food on our table... not only at home, but around the world.

We have a very special thank you we want to send out this morning to Heather Bunkowski from Rosenort, who made the drive to Plum Coulee with something for all of us.

Heather with CFAM's Ang Enns and PembinaValleyOnline's Anne Hamm. Thank you!!!

She had heard one of our chats, Jayme, about lilies... and how we both loved them! She brought us a beautiful bouquet full of lilies as a thank you to us and a gift. Heather... we can’t thank YOU enough for the bouquet, and for taking the time to drive down to give it to us. The flowers brightened up our day, and are now brightening up the studio, so all of our staff can share in your thoughtfulness.

So, Thursday morning... keep an ear open for the grand prize winner announcement of the Meridian Grain Max Hopper bottom bin!
