Pembina Valley RCMP have made some arrests in the arson investigation at the Friends Community Church in Carman.

Law enforcement began looking into the November 14th, 2019 blaze due to its suspicious nature. The fire was discovered and contained to only one room in the building.

As a result, a 19 year old male and one youth have been charged in the incident. The pair are also charged with Mischief to property after authorities opened a damage investigation at the Carman MCC store on the same day as the church fire.

Meantime, Pembina Valley RCMP continues to actively investigate break-ins and damage to several other churches in the Carman area. Anyone with information is asked to come forward and report it to their local police office or anonymously through Manitoba Crime Stoppers or 1 (800) 222-8477 (TIPS).
