Officials reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the province's total to 289, 30 in the Southern Health region.

Four individuals are currently hospitalized, one in intensive care. The province is monitoring 35 active cases, while 247 have recovered. The number of deaths remains at seven.

As of yesterday, an additional 374 laboratory tests were performed. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 31,029.

Over the weekend, two additional cases were added to the workplace cluster in the Prairie Mountain Health region, bringing the total to 10 cases. However, officials say there is no cause for concern and this is not unexpected as public health officials continue to investigate and trace contacts.

Manitoba's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says they continue to follow a number of indicators as they gradually reopen the economy, "to ensure we continue to be on top of this virus."
