Police have released additional details regarding a two-vehicle crash near Plum Coulee on Saturday. The incident occurred late-afternoon at the intersection of Highway 14 and PR 306. 

According to information provided by the Altona Police Service, the driver of a northbound vehicle on PR 306 proceeded into the intersection before it was safe to do so, colliding with a westbound vehicle on Highway 14. 

The driver of the northbound car has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Proceeding Before Safe To Do So, which carries a $174 fine. 

The driver of the westbound vehicle sustained minor injuries.

***Saturday, May 25***

There appears to have been a two vehicle collision at the corner of Highway 14 and PR 306 near Plum Coulee close to 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

Eyewitnesses report a silver car and burgundy half tonne truck appeared to be involved.

Plum Coulee Fire Department, Altona Police and EMS responded to the scene.

No other details are known at this time.
