Residents who typically use Pembina Avenue east will need to find a different route this week as construction is expected to get underway Monday on a portion of the road.
According to the City of Winkler, the road will be closed from Canada Street and then eastward. The road will be open to local traffic only during this time. Detours will be in place for all other traffic, using Pacific Street and George Avenue.
The city expects the closure to last Monday through Friday (May 29th to June 2nd), but that timeline is weather dependent.
