An organizer for the Bail out of Jail fundraiser in support of the Boyne Regional Library, said she's thrilled the event brought in over $30,000.

The fundraiser far exceeded Dale Owen's expectations.  She said she was expecting the fundraiser would maybe bring in $20,000.  "We are thrilled to put on an event that makes over $30,000."

During the fundraiser, participants were "arrested" and thrown in "jail," which was on the Ryall stage, and given a cell phone to call their friends to bail them out.

The funds will go toward the library's $2-million renovation and expansion project.

Owen explains what the project entails.
